What to expect
Where to park
Guest parking is located on the East side of the building on Main Street.
Where to enter the Building
The entrance on the East side of the building, on Main Street, will provide you with the easiest access to the building.
First timers
When you enter the building, you should be welcomed by a greeter at each entrance. They would be happy to answer any questions for you or to help direct you through the building. During the service, if you would like more information about the church, or to be contacted by someone, please fill out a yellow card located in the pews and then you can drop it in the offering plate at the exits.
Worship Service
Our worship services typically last about 75 minutes. We will have 25 minutes of blended worship, Scripture reading, and prayer followed by 35 minutes of preaching. We observe communion every week following the sermon, with one more song of worship to conclude the service.
Kids
Where do my kids go? For Sunday school, we have classes for all kids ages Pre-K through high school in the East wing of the building. During Sunday School and the worship service, we also have a nursery available in the West wing of the building
for newborns through age 3.
Can my kids just stay with me? During the worship service, a nursery is available for all kids age 3 and under. However, if you feel more comfortable keeping your kids with you during the service, you are more than welcome to do so.
A church for the whole family
At FBC, we desire to be a place where every age group is welcome, active, and involved. The Gospel of Jesus is just as relevant in the life of a child as it is for their parents and grandparents. Join us as we seek to glorify Him together.
Other FAQ’s
What should I wear?
At FBC Panhandle, we have people attend our services dressed in anything from suit and tie to t-shirts and jeans.
Who should I talk to?
If you have any questions or need help finding what you are looking for, there should be greeters at every entrance that would be happy to help you. If you need prayer or counseling, there will be a time at the end of the service during the last song to speak to a staff member or elder.
Will I have to identify myself or be called out?
During the service, we will not ask you to identify yourself or call you out individually. If you would like to, we have yellow cards in each of the pews that you can fill out to let us to know that you worshipped with us and it would give us the opportunity to get to know you without calling attention to you during the service.
What about communion?
We observe communion every week following the sermon. You are welcome to participate with us in observing communion even if you are not a member of our church. We simply ask that you be a baptized believer and a member of a church that believes and teaches a gospel similar to the one that we teach here at FBC.
